Ms. Thabet, a Partner with Celtis Capital and Corporate Director, holds more than 35 years of business experience namely in private equity investments, mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions, the management and repositioning of technology and manufacturing companies, and the development of industrial projects with international partners.

After five years with Price Waterhouse, she joined Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF) in 1987 where she held different management positions until 1998. While with SGF, Ms. Thabet realized several equity investments transactions in large industrial and technology projects with international partners. In 1998, she launched AT Capital, an investment management company which partnered up with technology and industrial companies, providing angel investment and management support. In 2003, she co-founded Celtis Capital, a firm specialized in transactional services in relation to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and corporate finance, and assets management.

Ms. Thabet serves presently on the boards of directors of Le Groupe Jean Coutu, Transcontinental, Russel Metals and Manac. She is also Chair of the board of directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors – Québec, Governor of the Sherbrooke University Business Research Foundation and Governor of Reseau Capital, the Quebec venture capital and private equity association, after having served as President from 2003-2005. Ms. Thabet was selected as one of the Diversity 50 2013 Board Candidates sponsored by the Canadian Board Diversity Council. Chartered professional accountant, she holds a Bachelor in Commerce from Sherbrooke University, a Master degree in Business Administration from Concordia University and is an Institute Certified Director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
