Ms. Thabet, a Corporate Director and Partner with Celtis Capital holds more than 35 years of business experience namely in asset management, private equity and venture capital, mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions, and the management and repositioning of technology, industrial and manufacturing companies.
Ms. Thabet is currently a member of the board of directors of Transcontinental (TSX-TCL), Russel Metals (TSX-RUS), Manac, and a member of advisory committees of private businesses. She also serves on the board of Centraide of Greater Montreal Foundation. Her past experiences include member of the board of The Jean Coutu Group, Chair of the board of the Institute of Corporate Directors – Québec, Chair of the Sherbrooke University Business Research Foundation and Chair of Reseau Capital, the Quebec private equity association.
After starting her career at Price Waterhouse (PwC) where she worked for five years, she joined Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF) in 1987 where she held different management positions in equity investments, venture capital, and the development of large industrial projects with international partners. In 1998, she founded AT Capital, an investment management company, and in 2003, she co-founded Celtis Capital, a firm specialized in transactional services in relation to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and corporate finance, and assets management.
Chartered professional accountant, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sherbrooke University, a Master degree in Business Administration from Concordia University and is an Institute-certified Director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
